Ok Zombies are Awesome. I know that a lot of people like to mock them by saying that they are too slow but you get 1000 of them together and then you have something to be scared of Now as for Zombie Movies we have some great ones like Zombieland and the current Resident Evil movies that are based on a popular series of video games. I admit that I killed quite a few zombies on my consoles but what can I say it’s fun.
Now as for the man that invented the modern day Zombie Flick is George A. Romero.
I’ve personally had the pleasure of sitting down with Mr. Romero and discuss the modern day Zombie epics and I also told him that I felt that Land of the Dead was the most underrated movie of 2005. Well recently Romero has gone back to the Zombie Genre with two different flicks the first was Diary of the Dead released in 2008 and now we have Survival of the Dead
For those of you that have seen Diary of the Dead and remember the scene where the main characters encounter a Military Team that robs them of food and supplies.
Well this flick follows that group when they decide to leave the mainland where they encounter a man that was driven out of a small island that was his home because he wanted to kill the zombies.
Upon arriving on the island they encounter that almost the entire island has been turned but they have been chained to their old posts and are forced to resume their daily activities that they had before they died.
Needless to say like the other Romero Zombie flicks the main antagonist of the film is not a zombie but in fact a human that has his own agenda and has to be defeated by the main characters with a little help from the zombies.
Another interesting thing about this flick is that it answers a long time question that I had.
You see we all know what happens when a human is bitten by a zombie but I have always wondered what will happen if a Zombie is bitten by a Human.
